Co-president
The Syre PTA is led by two โco-presidents.โ The co-presidents are the presiding officers and the official spokespersons of the PTA. The co-presidents preside at all meetings and plan the meeting agenda with the PTA secretary, utilizing input from others.
The duties of the PTA Co-Presidents include, but are not limited to:
With approval of the executive board, make one year appointments to positions and committees as specified in standing rules.
Delegate responsibility and develop leaders by empowering others and acknowledging their efforts.
Be an ex officio member of all committees except the nominating committee.
Disseminate and communicate all information received pertinent to the PTA purposes and programs.

SECRETARY
The PTA Secretary keeps an accurate record of meetings, which become part of the permanent history of the PTA. The duties of the PTA Secretary include, but are not limited to:
Record, maintain, and distribute meeting minutes.
Make sure notices of meetings are timely and follow guidelines.
Keep an up-to-date roster of members and a current record of all committees.
Liaise with co-presidents to provide support for meetings as needed.

Please note: To be considered for the Executive Board, the nominee must be a PTA member at least fifteen-days prior to the election and must comply with the standing rules of the Syre PTA. The Co-President also must have served for one year on a standing, ad-hoc PTA committee or have similar experience.
